DESCRIPTION OF THE COURSE

Do you love cinéma, gastronomy and culture?

This programme is made for you!

Our French & CULTURE Programme combines morning French classes with cultural excursions in the afternoon, offering the perfect balance between structured learning and cultural immersion.

This week is designed for those who wish to improve their French while discovering French cinema, gastronomy and rich cultural heritage of the region. More than just a language course, it is a genuine experience that connects learning French with an authentic discovery of the local area.

Mornings are dedicated to French classes taught by professional native French-speaking teachers. Groups are intentionally limited to a maximum of six participants in order to ensure a personalised, interactive and friendly learning environment.

In the afternoons, participants explore the region’s heritage through visits to historical sites, French cinema screenings, as well as carefully selected experiences centred around local gastronomy, tastings and traditional craftsmanship. These activities provide a deeper understanding of the region’s history, culture and way of life, while offering numerous opportunities to practise French in real-life situations.

The programme remains flexible in order to adapt to seasonal opportunities and local availability, ensuring a dynamic and renewed experience with each session. All visits and activities are conducted in French, with discreet linguistic support provided whenever necessary.

Join us for an immersive week where language, culture and heritage come together to create an unforgettable learning experience.

For example, Programme for this Christmas Special “French Culture Week” (November 2026):

✨ Creative Workshop & French Art de Vivre: create your own Christmas wreath and learn the art of setting a festive table according to French traditions.

🎬 Private Cinema Screening, offering a warm and convivial moment to share together in the true spirit of Christmas.

TESTIMONIALS ABOUT FRENCH CULTURE WEEK

In the French and History course, we spent our mornings in helpful classroom instruction that was tailored to our level. Our afternoons were filled with excursions to chateaux, medieval villages, wineries, and other locations that allowed us to explore the rich history and culture of the region. These excursions demonstrated just how rich the history and culture are! What’s more, while listening to the guides and docents on our excursions, we were practicing our French comprehension skills and expanding our vocabulary. The guides knew that we were French language students, and so they spoke clearly (and perhaps a bit more slowly than normal) for our benefit and were happy to answer any questions that we asked. Overall, the French and History course was a fantastic experience, and I would highly recommend it.

If you want to get a better feel for the region I highly recommend the historical visits. During the week this included trips to two chateaux, a vineyard and a charming medieval town. Our teacher, Vincent, provided useful background information for each afternoon trip. The local guides were super-knowledgeable and happy to field our many questions. In short —Great fun!
