Wine and Gastronomy Courses for individuals in English
Starts in 2008 on
September 28th In this program, entirely conducted in English, there are : 4 Wine Classes with Tasting ( Beaujolais, Burgundy, Bordeaux, Champagne); 1 day excursions to Beaujolais and 1 day in Burgundy, "The Making of Wine" class, "How to buy Wine" class and one meal at top gastronomic restaurants.

Program Details Sunday Arrive on Sunday at Chateau de Matel, guided visit of the Chateau and 7.30pm Dinner at Chateau Monday - Côte Roannaise & Bordeaux
Tuesday: A day in the Beaujolais
Beaujolais is one of France's best-known wines, but least-visited wine regions. Visit picturesque authentic wine villages of Beaujeu, Villié Morgon, Chiroubles et Fleurie Tasting of different Cru du Beaujolais at Chateau du Thil XII Century.
A typical Beaujolais lunch with Odile & Patrick le Bourlay.
Wednesday: Champagne 9.30 am visit of Pilati Pastry/chocolate factory, visit of "Les halles Diderot" indoor market and Roanne City center.
12.30pm Champagne, presentation and tasting
Rest of the afternoon free Dinner at the château Thursday: The Essence of Burgundy
Visit to the Chateau "Clos de Vougeot" and Burgundy Wine Road
Tasting and Lunch at a domaine.
2.30pm Visit to another domain in Ladoix Serigny, tasting top barrel-fermented and barrel-aged Burgundy whites and reds in the cellars with commentary by the owner.
Visit to Beaune
Return to Roanne 7.30pm Dinner at the chateau
Friday: A Gastronomic Day
1pm Lunch at "Chateau de Champlong" Gastronomic Restaurant
Free afternoon 7.30pm Dinner at the Château
