Guests are asked to send in the results of the test. As this test helps us assess your French knowledge and plan class levels in advance, we ask you not to guess the answers.

What to expect

On the Monday morning of arrival, an oral test is given to complete the assessment and guarantee that classes are as homogeneous as possible.

With a maximum of 6 people per class, the small size allows your teacher to give individual attention and cater to the particular needs of each person.

For those who need or wish to learn as rapidly as possible, our Intensive French Course offers an extra 6 hours of classes a week on an individual one-on-one basis. Alternatively, our Private French Course offers 15, 19 or 25 hours on a one-to-one basis.

Active speaking practice is sought at all levels of ability to give confidence in conversational skills. You are rapidly encouraged to try and speak in real-life situations.

All our teachers are native French instructors who can explain grammar and vocabulary to beginners in English when necessary.

Intermediate and advanced students speak only in French.

Classes are small to offer a maximum of speaking time and personal attention. Because of its importance, emphasis is given to pronunciation during lessons.

You will be encouraged to speak French all day long -- 14 hours a day -- and then continue to speak French over a good meal and wine. The French-only rule at the dinner table for French-studying guests accelerates understanding through total immersion in French language. What better way is there to learn to speak French than at a French table?
