Second trip better than first!

I first went to the school in June/July of this year, and liked it so much I went back in September/October for 2 weeks. This is an excellent venue for learning French. It is total immersion, even during mealtime only French is spoken. Students are serious about learning, we even spoke French during our walks or shopping excursions. It is centrally located in a lovely town with plenty of good restaurants and shopping nearby ( within walking distance ). All of the instructors are excellent.

My week of French and chocolate

I just left Ecole des trois points, saturated with French and chocolate. I absolutely loved my stay there! I was a little nervous about going to an immersion program by myself but now I regret that I did not sign up for a longer stay.

All the instructors and other students were very friendly and helpful. My instructor, Valerie, who is also the director, is a great teacher. I learned more in one week than I have learned in 2 semesters at my class at home.

It was challenging to be surrounded from morning to night with French, but by the last day, I felt I could understand and communicate pretty effectively. There were two women in the group who were complete beginners and planning to stay for a month. The other students had some background in French with several repeat students ( one who was there for her 14th stay)

The accommodations are very comfortable and the food was excellent. We had daily creative and delicious meals prepared by our very talented ( and handsome) chef.

I also took 4 afternoons of chocolate classes with Laurice, a very talented and sweet pâtissière. We learned how to make a variety of chocolates- hand dipped, molded, scuptures. One day, we made marshmallows(yum), meringues, fruit jellies.

It was great fun and I learned some things that I'm eager to try out at home.

I can't wait to go back! Meanwhile, I am inspired to continue my French studies.

Can't wait to come here again

I have just spent a week speaking French and making chocolates and sweets. I have learnt so much French in such a pleasant atmosphere. We have laughed all the time. My French was learnt 50 years ago, at school, but that didn't matter. I was in a group with others of similar ability. This was the most enjoyable way of learning. It's not easy but well worth the effort. In the afternoon I took the chocolate course with Laurice, a professional chocolatiere and patissiere from a local restaurant. We learnt how to make individual chocolates, fruit jellies using fresh fruit, meringues, marshmallows and a chocolate sculpture of our own design. Next year I want to take her patisserie course.

Amazing

I spent a week at Ecole des Trois Ponts doing the cooking and language courses. The whole week was amazing. All the staff were lovely and the food was incredible. Valerie is a brilliant teacher (as are the others) and Lilian the chef is very talented! If you want to be totally immersed in french with like-minded adults it is the place for you. Everyone was very kind and keen to help improve our french. I can't believe how much I learnt in a week. My only disappointment is not staying longer. If you can stay at least 2 weeks.

Absolutely the best!

I have just spent a superb week at Ecole des Trois Points. I never realised learning involved so much laughter. One of the highlights of my year. The people I met, the food I ate and the lessons I participated in were all superb and have left a deep impression on me.

I would highly recommend the Ecole des Trois Ponts, particularly with the additional patisserie course. One week of immersive language in a beautiful setting with helpful staff and delicious French food was great - I only wish I had planned to stay for longer as I enjoyed it so much!
The staff were so welcoming and kind, and their energy set a perfect tone for the group, as did the picturesque setting.
The patisserie course was amazing also, covering so much content including croissants, brioche, pithivier, macarons and lemon tarts to name just a few - and Laurent was a knowledgeable, enthusiastic and patient teacher. My French is very basic but with Laurent's clear instructions, the helpfully translated recipes in the booklet and a few discreet translations from teacher Laetitia, this didn't pose a problem to learning patisserie in French, and enjoying it immensely! It was extra-rewarding to share the fruits of our labours with the group for dessert in the evenings, and to hear their happy exclamations - I now can't wait to practise my new skills on family and friends at home! A big thank you to Ecole des Trois Ponts for such a fantastic experience!
